Site waste management plan (SWMP) with McConnells
Recycling and waste management is a major issue with new construction projects. McConnells has realized that it is important that we keep up to date with the latest legislation and legal requirements and as such help our clients where possible with regard to the site waste management plan (SWMP).
From April 2008, all construction projects in England worth more than £300,000 must have a SWMP.
You, as the client, are responsible for producing the initial SWMP before construction work begins, appointing the principal contractor and passing the SWMP to the contractor, as well as updating the SWMP at least every three months if you decide to manage the project yourself.
As part of the SWMP you will need to consider WEEE compliance. We are able to offer help with this.
If you would like us to help you with the Plan, then please let us know.
